I am so excited to share this story with you because it’s a perfect example of hard work paying off. The beautiful young lady in the picture above has made it onto Team Canada this year for Dance. She is stoked!
I have had the honour of working with her for the last two years, helping her with her acro skills, flexibility and handstand development.
If I look back to where she was two years back, it is astounding how far she has progressed.
Watching how hard she works and how motivated she is in every class is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had as a coach. I am a pretty tough coach and I make sure her lessons are challenging but she looks at those challenges as if they are opportunities to grow and conquers them.
She is motivated and driven to better herself every class and always finishes knowing that she learned something that is going to help her achieve her goals.
In just a few days she will be on her way to Prague for a competition that she has put so much hard work and dedication into. I cannot tell you how proud I am of her. I am excited to see her start a new journey and make more exciting memories through dance.
She is an incredibly smart young lady with bigger dreams and goals ahead of her. This is only a stepping stone into her true potential.
I want to make a huge shout out to her family and thank them for taking her to practices day by day and being there to support her dreams.
What an amazing opportunity this is. It’s not everyday that you will get to travel to Prague so enjoy every minute of it.
