This brain game is a little different. It is intended for a team or group of people. It can be as little as 3 people or as big as you want. With 3 people, the game may go by too quickly but can still be effective. It will work better with more participants. I would recommend 6-10 people but don’t worry if it is more or less.

How It Works:

Each participant will be given a piece of paper and a pen. They will have to write something positive on the paper as if they are talking to themselves. It does not have to be specific, just generic and has to start with “I am…”

For example:

I am pretty
I am a strong athlete
I am a good friend
I am confident
I am a team motivator
I am encouraging to others

After each athlete has written something, they can form into a circle and pass the paper to the person next to them. Each athlete will then read it out loud. Once everyone has read their paper out loud, they can pass it on to the next person. Repeat this process until the same paper gets back to the original writer. The game ends with the athletes reading their own “I am” phrase.

By the end of this game you should have noticed some smiles around the circle. It is just a simple exercise designed to improve self-confidence and self-esteem. It also helps to develop better relationships between team members.

Feedback:

I would like to know how your team or group did with this exercise and what you liked and didn’t like about it. Send me a message and let me know how it went for you. I can’t wait to hear from you.
